The United
States Tap Dance Team has been led for the past seven years by Gloria
Jean Cuming. Working with other notable choreographers like Rennie Gold
and Paul Danek, Gloria has won first place at the competition in Germany
a total of four times ("Dancing Fool", "Fantastico",
"Orbital" and "Warrior" respectively). She has placed
second twice ("Five Guys Named Mo" and "Tapestry").
The International Dance Organization (IDO) has hosted this competition
in such locations as Berlin, Dresden, and Reisa.

The Dance Team has been rewarded for their efforts with guest appearances on the Donnie and Marie Show, ABC's Good Morning America, and the CBS Early Show. In addition, they have performed on numerous local broadcasts including WTNH-New Haven. After taking the year off from competing last year in respect to 9/11, the Team has returned to Reisa to perform yet again.
