Nancy Howarth

Miss Nancy began her dance training right here at Gloria Jean's Studio at the age of four. She studied all types of dance and as soon as she was old enough joined our dance company as a competitive dancer. Winner of many awards as a soloist and team member, Nancy brings the experience and knowledge gained into her classroom. Always teaching with what we call the 3 E's. Excitement, Energy and Enthusiasm! Her classes are always enjoyed by every student. She is a member of Dance Masters of America both the Connecticut and New York City Chapters, which certifies her by test to teach. She attends seminars offered by these organizations to always be up on the latest methods of teaching dance.

 

Stacy Eastman

Stacy began her dance training right here at Gloria Jean's Studio. Studying all types of dance as well as being active in competition, she has won many awards for her solo performances. In 1994, she was crowned Miss Dance of America. This is the most prestigious dance title that exists in the United States. As a faculty member she continues to study and belongs to the Dance Masters of America, a teachers' organization that certifies by test to teach. Stacy has won many awards for her outstanding choreography for our DanStarZ Dance team competition division. She has traveled to Germany as a soloist, a US Tap Team member, as well as a choreographer. She travels the country as a judge and master teacher. Her first love is teaching and she brings her enthusiasm, excitement and energy into every classroom.

 

Linda Provo

Linda has been with us for almost 20 years. As a student she studied ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics. As soon as she reached the age to be able to assist with classes she did and progressed to become a full faculty member. Her classes are fun while still being disciplined to create a great teaching environment. Linda was a member of our competition team, traveling all over the country, competing in all phases of dance. She was a successful solo competitor winning many gold medals for her performances. Linda traveled to Germany on the United States Tap Team and was part of the 4 time World Champion team. In 1996, she was honored as one of the top 5 female tap soloists in the world. Her students on the DanStarZ Dance team have all been consistent winners in competition. We love having her as part of our dance family.

 

Maryann Vendetto

Miss Maryann has been a faculty member at the studio for over 20 years. She has always been one of the most conscientious and caring teachers on our staff. As a student she was a member of our awards winning dance team competing in many local and national competitions. Maryann is always striving to bring her students the best training. She joined Dance Masters of America, a national organization of dance educators which certified her by test to teach. She is a member of both the CT and NYC chapters. She lends her talents to our DanStarZ Dance team working with our team on precision, choreography, and performance level. We are very proud of Maryann and the honor of being named High Score Choreographer at the North American Dance Festival this past summer.

 

Kathy Hines

Miss Kathy has been dancing since she was 3 years old right here at Gloria Jean's Studio. At any opportunity she was always at the studio learning, helping, or just watching the classes. As a company member she competed on our team traveling to many cities around the country to numerous national dance competitions. Kathy was an assistant for many years and after passing her graduation examination from the studio she started to teach her own classes. She has been teaching gymnastic classes as her main focus ans has become an intricate part of running the program as well as other facets of the studio operation. Kathy's classes are fun and enjoyable, with technique and discipline always being stressed.
